Ashley Lauren Natural Products is a family-owned beauty brand. The company was founded by Dr. Georgia Parker, ND with her first product, the Jojoba Hair Growth Oil in January 1998 to address her hair loss from alopecia. The company manufactures and distributes natural and skin care products. The products are researched, developed and manufactured by Ashley Lauren Research Laboratories to address issues ranging from hair thinning and loss to acne & aging skin.
The company's president Dr. Georgia Parker, ND, BA, Minister of Health, Scientist, Educator, trichologist and Aesthetician founded Ashley Lauren in January 1998 shortly after the birth of her daughter Ashley Lauren Parker in 1997. She started the company after suffering from hair loss due to alopecia. Georgia prayed to God for something that would help her hair grow back, after receiving through revelation a formula for her hugely popular Jojoba Hair Growth Oil (Original formula, Rosemary). Georgia formulated the recipe at her kitchen table in Evanston, Illinois. Shortly thereafter her hair began to grow in and many women at her local church in the Chicagoland area noticed her hair and began to request bottles to use for their hair. Other extremely popular products soon followed, such as the Aloe & Jojoba Leave-in Conditioner and Lemon Skin toner for acne skin. Georgia Parker continued to sell her hair products out of her home from 1998-2001.
In the Spring of 2001, Georgia opened up Ashley Lauren Holistic Health & Wellness Center in downtown Evanston, IL on Davis Street. Ashley Lauren Holistic Health & Wellness Center offered treatments for hair loss, specialty facials, therapeutic massage and body care. Ashley Lauren soon became a well-respected and sought after multi-cultural haven for hair and skin care products and services before it closed it doors in 2013. Ashley Lauren was one of very few businesses that focused specifically on hair growth, healthy hair care, and restoration of natural hair.
February 2011, Georgia. Parker made her first TV appearance on NBC\Chicago during black history month, when she was asked to appear on the station.
July 2012, the brand was picked up by Whole Foods
February 2013, Georgia Parker was asked to appear on ABC during black history month. The brand continued to grow in popularity and evolve due to its high quality natural products and treatment of its customers.
June of 2013, Georgia. Parker closed Ashley Lauren Holistic Health & Wellness center so that she could focus research, school and ministry work.
February 2014, Georgia Parker opened the Ashley Lauren Hair and Skin Care Research Institute in downtown Evanston, IL. The institute focused its research on the science of hair loss and disorders of the skin. The institute offered holistic health consultations and services to both women and men.
September 2019, Georgia Parker, became a board certified naturopathic doctor in the fall of 2019. Dr. Parker started offeriing holistic health consultations in additon to her regular services such as treatments for hair loss, thinning and disorders of the skin. She continued to sale her custom hair and skin care products from the institute and additional outlets.
July 2023, Dr. Georgia Parker, N.D relocated her Evanston, IL business out of state to Jackson, Mississippi so that she could offer services to the community.
